Opening in 2024 – the design includes a spacious, elegant reception room and luxury boutique emporium. Three Luxury VIP Suites, Double Hamman and seven further Tranquil Treatment Suites. The Largest Hydrotherapy Odyssey in the Caribbean. A Private Gym with state-of-the-art equipment, a Private Training room, a Movement Studio, and an Exquisite Beauty Salon. The social spaces include a Wellness Cafe, Members Lounge, Soothing Relaxation Ares and a Private Social Lounge for private events.

Opportunity

Meraki Wellness is seeking an exceptional Spa Manager who is excited to be part of a company with heart. The Spa manager will support all pre-opening requirements alongside the owners of Meraki Wellness and, once open, lead the spa team and oversee all day-to-day operations.

The Spa Manager is a proven leader and spa expert with excellent interpersonal, organisational and wellness skills. A kind, passionate, confident, and creative individual. With international experience and an in-depth knowledge of wellness around the world.

2024 Goals for the Meraki Wellness Spa Manager

  • Support the pre-opening critical path and development of Meraki Wellness, Grand Cayman.
  • Create, implement, and oversee the relevant operational procedures to ensure all employees deliver a personal and professional service befitting the Meraki Wellness vision and values.
  • Promote and uphold the philosophy and culture of Meraki Wellness for all employees and guests.
  • Maximise guest satisfaction in keeping with the Meraki Wellness standards through planning, organising, directing, and supervising the spa team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 + years international experience in spa management within a luxury hotel or premium brand
  • CIDESCO qualified or equivalent
  • Ability to operate wellness and spa equipment
  • Qualifications and experience in health, safety and first aid.

Experience

  • A team-orientated, driven, organised, solutions-focused leader who is kind, charismatic and positive.
  • Pre-opening spa experience in a luxury environment
  • Strong operator – highly competent in the daily running of a busy, 5* wellness operation
  • Detailed oriented. Passionate about exceptional guest service – ideally, Forbes 5* experience
  • 5-Star personal presentation – an excellent example for the team and those embarking on a wellness lifestyle
  • Confident with HR responsibilities, stock and retail management
  • Excellent commercial acumen – competent in financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure and perform well
  • Consistently endeavours to drive revenues and control costs.
  • A strong communicator. Fluent in English – excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Proficient in sales and marketing. Excellent knowledge of the global wellness industry.
  • Hiring and onboarding experience, including trade testing and assessment of spa and beauty therapists
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Training and team-building skills

Desirable

  • Experience with Spa Software
  • Proven qualifications from a specialised spa management course
  • Certified Massage Therapist
  • Experience in a luxury Private Members’ Club
  • Proficient in First Aid and CPR

Additional Requirements

The above is a description of the general duties of the Spa Manager Role. Other duties may be required, depending on operations or at the request of the Meraki Wellness Senior Management Team.

Given the nature of the industry, all employees at Meraki Wellness must be willing to work shift hours, including evenings, weekends, bank, and public holidays when the operation requires it.
