Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Spa Therapist & ESPA Trainer to join our luxury spa team at The Europe Hotel & Resort. This is a key leadership role, combining excellence in treatment delivery with team mentorship and ESPA training. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to five-star guest service, possess strong hands-on experience with ESPA, and demonstrate natural leadership skills.

You will play a vital role in maintaining treatment standards, developing therapist performance, and contributing to the overall success of the spa.

Essential Qualifications & Experience Required

• ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT: Independently obtained the right to live and work in Ireland.
• ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT: Recognised qualifications in beauty and holistic therapy: diploma in CIDESCO, CIBTAC, ITEC, or higher.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a therapist, including 1+ year in a senior or leadership role.
• Proven experience with ESPA treatments (ESPA Trainer certification desirable).
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• Impeccable personal presentation and grooming standards.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and guest service skills.
• Flexibility to work across shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

Treatment Delivery & Guest Experience

• Perform all treatments to an exceptional standard, following ESPA protocols while tailoring services to meet individual guest needs.
• Conduct in-depth consultations and provide personalised aftercare and home-care recommendations.
• Promote repeat visits by suggesting treatment programs and introducing other spa or hotel services.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of spa treatments, packages, and promotional offers.
• Consistently deliver five-star service with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail.

Training & Development

• Deliver in-house ESPA training and ongoing refresher courses.
• Support the onboarding and continuous development of spa therapists.
• Mentor and coach the team to ensure consistent delivery of treatments and guest care aligned with ESPA standards.

Team Leadership

• Conduct bi-monthly performance appraisals and support the implementation of individual development plans.
• Inspire and motivate the team to achieve high standards in both service and retail.
• Assist the Spa Manager in rota planning, team coordination, and daily operational requirements.

Operational & Retail Excellence

• Maintain immaculate treatment rooms and ensure strict adherence to hygiene and safety procedures.
• Monitor and manage retail and professional stock effectively.
• Promote ESPA products and support the team in achieving retail targets through product knowledge and coaching.
• Participate in spa promotional events, demonstrations, and guest engagement activities.
