We are seeking an exceptional Hairstylist specialising in blow-drying, blowouts, styling, and precision cuts to join our founding team ahead of our opening in Q4 2025.

Our luxury beauty salon will introduce world-class hairstyling to the Caribbean, with services that celebrate artistry, precision, and confidence. In partnership with Blowdry Lounge, Canada’s leading blow-out salon, we are enhancing our offering with expertise in modern blow-drying and styling techniques, blending their artistry with Meraki’s holistic approach to wellness.

This role is not just about hairstyling — it is about creating confidence, beauty, and transformation. From effortless blowouts and polished cuts to event and evening looks for special occasions and dinners, every service will reflect Meraki’s vision of luxury with soul.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional hairstyling services including blow-drying, blowouts, precision cuts, and event/evening styling.
  • Provide tailored consultations, understanding each guest’s personal style, preferences, and lifestyle needs.
  • Offer expert guidance on aftercare and professional haircare products.
  • Uphold Five-Star / Forbes standards in service, hygiene, and presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety protocols and salon best practices.
  • Assist in creating, implementing, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain a pristine, organised, and fully stocked workstation.
  • Collaborate with the wider beauty, spa, and wellness teams to create a seamless guest journey.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Minimum 3 years’ professional experience as a hairstylist in a luxury Five-Star hotel, Forbes spa/salon, or premium beauty environment.
  • Certified hairstyling qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Expertise in blow-drying, blowouts, styling, and precision cutting across a variety of hair types.
  • Strong product knowledge and ability to provide personalised recommendations.
  • Familiarity with health & safety standards in salon operations.
  • Experience developing and implementing SOPs.
  • Exceptional guest service with emotional intelligence and discretion.
  • Impeccable grooming and professional presentation.
  • Fluent in English.

Desirable

  • Makeup artistry qualification and experience (bridal, evening, or event makeup).
  • A portfolio of previous work showcasing styling and event looks (required at interview).
  • Experience with luxury salon brands or premium styling environments.
  • Retail sales experience in professional haircare.
  • Familiarity with salon booking software (e.g. Zenoti).

Compensation & Benefits

At Meraki Wellness, we believe in rewarding excellence with a competitive package that reflects both professional expertise and personal wellbeing.

  • Base Salary: USD $36,000 per annum
  • Commission on Treatments (target-led)
  • Commission on Retail: 10% on personal skincare sales
  • Quarterly Incentives: Sales incentives to support and reward retail performance
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): USD $70,000–$80,000 per annum
  • Tax-Free Jurisdiction: The Cayman Islands are tax-neutral, allowing you to maximise earnings
