Our Client is an award winning Spa in luxurious surroundings with outstanding facilities for their discerning guests. Simply put, it’s one of England’s finest 5 star luxury hotels.

We are now recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an experienced Spa and Leisure Operations Manager to join the team.

Reporting to the Spa Director you will be responsible for the smooth running of the day to day Spa & Leisure operation ensuring all visitors to the Spa have a memorable and exceptional experience.

Role & Responsibilities;

  • Support the Spa Director in all aspects of operations driving key elements such as H&S, motivating and training the team, cleanliness and maintenance of the Spa and leisure facilities, diary management, guest relations and membership sales and retention
  • Managing the pool and plant operations and ensuring that they are compliant with guidelines and Health and Safety requirements
  • Prepare and update risk assessments as required, ensuring all staff are trained with regards to H&S and their role and all spa and leisure areas are assessed as required on a regular basis
  • Prepare monthly financial and MI reports and present to Directors
  • Ensure all areas of the Spa are maximising revenue opportunities at all times whilst ensuring exceptional service levels and morale of all team members
  • Initially deal with guest feedback, complaints and ensure that necessary action is taken
  • Create and maintain relations with spa guests and hotel guests by having an active presence in key guest areas
  • To be proactive in anticipating and identifying guest’s needs, ensuring all requirements are met and requests responded to in order to encourage repeat business

We are offering a full time role working 48 hours over 5 days including evenings, weekends and Public/Bank Holidays. You will manage the team weekly over 3 shifts to ensure each shift team are working efficiently and hitting KPI’s.

Skills & Experience Required;

  • Previous Assistant Manager or Leisure Manager within a Spa and Leisure facility
  • Qualification in Fitness and Leisure, Personal Training would be an advantage
  • Proven record in membership sales and retention
  • Experience of managing training, motivating and developing team members
  • Excellent level of customer service and positive attitude
